AV kit dates fast. Whether you are running a corporate conference, a festival stage, or a smaller private event, guests notice when vision and audio feel sharp, and when they do not.
Here are five AV trends we are seeing requested more often in 2025, based on recent work in the field.
1. Fine-pitch LED in the room
Projection still has its place, but bright LED panels are turning up on more corporate stages because they read well on camera and cope with stage lighting. The trade-off is power, weight and budget, so we size panels to the room rather than defaulting to the biggest wall possible.
2. Zoned and steered audio
Instead of one giant PA blasting the whole hall, we are splitting rooms more often: separate fills for delegates, quiet zones near stands, and cleaner foldback for presenters. Beam-steered columns and better planning on delays cut down on mushy overlap.
3. Hybrid streaming that matches the show
Remote viewers still expect multiple angles, readable slides and audio that is not an afterthought. That means a proper camera plan, graphics for the stream, and internet tested before doors, not five minutes before go-live.
4. Lighting cued to the run sheet
House lights and stage washes tied to cues keep walks and awards feeling intentional. It is less about gadgets and more about an operator who knows the script and can ride levels live.
5. Safer signal paths and checks
Racks can flag temperature and UPS status, but the boring wins are still labelled cables, spare paths and a line check that actually happens. Good prep stops small faults turning into show stoppers.
